Celebrating 2022 Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The Royal Mint have commissioned a number of special edition proof coins to mark this momentous occasion, starting on 6th January 2022 with the release of the first 2 coins in the collection. Unlike the currency coins these coin will all feature a specially commissioned obverse which bears the commemorative Platinum Jubilee portrait of Her Majesty The Queen by John Bergdahl.
The reverse features a bold, graphical design created by agency Osborne Ross, and is accompanied by a booklet which explores previous jubilee celebrations and features an introduction by Professor Kate Williams.
