The Legend of King Arthur is the first coin in the Royal Mints brand new 'British myths and legends' series designed by renowned illustrator David Lawrence.

King Arthur of Camelot, legend has it that he lead his trusted knights of the round table into battle against Saxon invaders in the 6th century. It has long since been debated if King Arthur actually existed or if he and his trusted knights were simply hero's of Celtic mythology.

We may not know if, King Arthur, Camalot, Queen Guinevere, the Excalibur or even Merlin the Wizard were real, but one thing for sure is that the legend has persevered throughout the ages.
