1689 King William & Queen Mary Halfcrown, First Shield, Caul only frosted

King William III of England 1689 - 1702 more famously known as William of Orange. William initially ruled jointly with his wife Mary until her death in 1894. Halfcrown 1689 First Shield, Caul only frosted, with pearls, ESC 503 VF toned, the obverse with some thin scratches in the field, the reverse with a slightly uneven, but not unpleasant tone

First conjoined busts right, legend surrounding, GVLIELMVS. ET. MARIA. DEI. GRATIA.
Reverse
Second crowned quartered shield of arms with an escutcheon of the Lion of Nassau, caul only frosted with no pearls on crown band, date either side of crown, legend surrounding, .MAG. BR. FR. ET. HIB. REX. ET. REGINA., edge inscribed in raised letters, .+. DECVS. ET. TVTAMEN. ANNO. REGNI. PRIMO.
