To work out the price of 24ct gold per gram, please look at the chart on the left and divide the sterling price by 31.2

Then to work out how much your scrap gold is worth, Times the 1g price by how many grams you have, then take the appropriate % for the purity you have.

9 ct -   37.50%    - 375
10 ct - 41.67%    - 416
12 ct - 50%         - 500
14 ct - 58.33%    - 585
18 ct - 75%          -750
22 ct - 91.67%    - 917
24 ct - 99.99%    - 999

Example : £500 Divided by 31.2 = £16.03 per 1g 24ct gold

10g times £16.03 = £160.30, then if the 10g was 22ct, 91% (£145.86)
